High School Rowing

Our high school program can accept athletes *from any school* (see details below) and is designed for high performance at the high school level and sets the foundation for athletes to row successfully in collegiate programs.

Typically, the team is split into two levels for training and racing, based on experience:

The Novice crew practice 3 days a week (during Fall & Spring) and is for athletes that are new to the sport, or within their first year for rowing. Training for novices focuses on developing rowing skills and preparing for races against other novice crews at local and regional regattas. Novice athletes may have the option to join the JV & Varsity crews to practice 5 days a week (upon approval by coaching staff).

The JV crew is for novice athletes who are at a level where they can integrate into the varsity crew.

The JV & Varsity crew practice 5 days a week (during Fall & Spring). Varsity crew is for athletes with a year or more of experience and focuses on training for local, regional, and, occasionally, national level regattas.

Novice, JV, and Varsity follow the same practice schedule during Winter & Summer programs.
